Meet the Author

Ida Walker, Ph. D.

Dr. Ida Walker was a recent Candidate for Superintendent of Schools, Gadsden County. She earned her doctorate degree in program evaluation (High Poverty-High Performing Schools) and her master’s degree in educational leadership and supervision from the Florida State University. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education/reading endorsement from Mississippi State University. She has been responsible for the successful management of schools and classrooms (Pre-Kindergarten to University level) in Florida.

Dr. Walker has been an active part of the educational system for the past 21 years—19/21 in Gadsden, Madison and Duval Counties where she was afforded the opportunity to serve students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community on various levels in several positions.

Dr. Walker has recruited, mentored, and developed local and international teachers. She has been actively involved in the teacher evaluation process—schools, district, and via face to face and online instruction to pre-service teachers. That's what motivated her to become a change agent for teachers and administrators.
